Nigel Tremlett – Director
Nigel has over twenty five years experience of working for leading social and economic research organisations and consultancies on behalf of central and local government. He began his research career at the National Centre for Social Research (Nat Cen) in the 1980s and has since worked for IPSOS-MORI, EkosGen and Step Ahead Research in senior positions.
Over this time Nigel has established a record of high quality research and evaluation conducted for government and universities, writing numerous publications and presenting findings at conferences. His specific areas of expertise include the use of quantitative, qualitative and desk based research methodologies for:
Economic and social impact assessments;- Project and programme evaluation;
- Baseline and monitoring studies; and
- Community and stakeholder engagement and partnership working.
His specialist research areas include employment, business start-up, workforce development, social care, transport, ICT, vulnerable groups and the Third Sector. Nigel is the founder of TransForm Research and leads on all the company’s projects.
Kate Grimes – Researcher
Kate is a highly experienced researcher with a clear understanding of the public and Third sectors as well as possessing strong communication and analytical skills. She has undertaken MRS training in interviewing and is adept at using quantitative analysis packages such as SPSS and Excel.
She has worked on the quarterly progress reporting for the Devon Economic Strategy and the evaluation of an Objective 2 funded project to enable the long term unemployed in rural areas of deprivation across Devon to re-enter the job market. She holds a first-class honours degree in Psychology and in previous roles has worked extensively in the health care sector and with vulnerable people.
